James Maclure

Jim is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers. He has over 50 years' experience with contractors and consulting engineers in the UK and abroad and has provided procurement advice and FIDIC training worldwide.

Past experience includes appointments as a Site Agent, Engineer, Technical Manager and Project Manager on major infrastructure development projects, mainly in emerging countries.

Projects include hydropower, dams, roads and water supply.

In September 2014, Jim was invited to join the specialist Tunnelling Contract Working Group, TG10, which was jointly tasked by FIDIC and ITA-AITES to draft the new FIDIC Emerald Book Conditions Contract for Underground Works. Jim and TG10 colleagues are currently developing Emerald Book training materials.
